‘The People v. O.J. Simpson’ Season 1 Episode 8: The Jury Revolt

The jury starts to lose their minds as the trial comes to Day 124. They were supposed to be there for two months and now it’s become eight.

‘The People v. O.J. Simpson’ Season 1 Episode 8

Marcia Clark (Sarah Paulson) wants to use DNA in the courtroom. Clark gets Mr. Fung on the stand to explain the details of DNA and its accuracy. Fung found that the DNA of the blood from the various places of the crime scene matched to one person, O.J. Simpson (Cuba Gooding Jr.).

Robert Kardashian (David Schwimmer) continues to visit Simpson in jail but this time he’s concerned about the DNA factors. He questions Simpson on how the blood was everywhere, on his Bronco, Nicole’s house, his driveway and even his socks.

Jurors are being dismissed left and right. One juror was a victim of domestic abuse and another had a violent past. Johnnie Cochran (Courtney B. Vance) believes that Clark is trying to get rid of all the “not guilty folks” to mess up his defense.

“I know what you’re up to,” Cochran said.

Cochran, Bob Shapiro (John Travolta), and the rest of their team decide to focus on the jurors and realize it’s their only way to win.

The judge becomes frazzled that there are only four replacement jurors left since many have been dismissed.

One juror, Tracy, complains to the judge how the Black jurors are being treated like 2nd class citizens and wants to go home.

The jury tries to refuse to come into court but the judge demands it. They show up in almost all black attire where the judge postpones court.

Simpson proposes to his legal counsel to put him on the stand. Cochran sets up a rehearsal to see how Simpson answers the practice questions.

Kardashian breaks down crying when he admits to Kris that he can’t look at Simpson anymore. He apologizes to her and says that once the case is over, Simpson will be out of their lives forever.

The O.J. tipline gets a call from someone about a tape recording of Detective Mark Fuhrman making derogatory comments about African-Americans.

Catch new episodes of The People v. O.J. Simpson Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.
