It has finally been confirmed that neither the Obama family or the Trump family will be attending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s royal wedding.

The Kensington Palace released a statement stating that no political figures will be attending the wedding on May 19, meaning that even British Prime Minister Theresa May will not be invited.

“It has been decided that an official list of political leaders – both U.K. and international – is not required for Prince Harry and Ms. Markle’s wedding. Her Majesty’s Government was consulted on this decision, which was taken by The Royal Household.”

A royal correspondent tweeted that since “Prince Harry is not a direct heir to the throne there is no need to have such a formal guest list.”

Other world leaders may be in attendance, dependent on personal relationships with Prince Harry and Markle.

Though they are keeping their guest list tight with only their closest loved ones, the couple has decided to invite 1,200 members of the public to Windsor Castle. They have also told guests to donate to charities rather than sending them wedding gifts.

“The couple have chosen charities [that] represent a range of issues they are passionate about, including sport for social change, women’s empowerment, conservation, the environment, homelessness, HIV and the armed forces,” said a statement from the Palace. “Many of these are small charities, and the couple are pleased to be able to amplify and shine a light on their work.”

The palace also stated the couple had selected seven organizations for guests to choose from: Chiva, Crisis, the Myna Mahila Foundation; Scotty’s Little Soldiers, StreetGames, Surfers Against Sewage and The Wilderness Foundation UK.
