Dean Haglund, who played Langly of The Lone Gunmen in the original The X-Files series, confirmed on Twitter that the trio will be back in the X-Files revival, set to premiere Jan. 24 on Fox.
Even though the trio seemed to have died in the original series, it’ll be back. It’s still unclear what the return of the Lone Gunmen means for the timeline of the revival series.
Earlier this week, a very first 15-seconds long trailer of the show aired on Fox, showing Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) hiding in the dark with their guns before the famous theme song plays. Returning cast members Duchovny, Anderson, Haglund, Mitch Pileggi, and William B. Davis are all the confirmed for the show.
New actors will be joining the X-Files cast as well. It was been confirmed last month that Lauren Ambrose from Six Feet Under and Robbie Amell from The Flash will appear in a single episode of the upcoming series.
