The cast of a the The Lion King Australia belted out “Circle of Life” from the hit Broadway musical as passengers boarded their flight.
On the Virgin Australia plane headed to Sydney from Brisbane, the singers took up the first several rows in the coach cabin. While their fellow passengers took their seats, the group treated them to a powerful rendition of one of the movie and musical’s most recognizable songs.
“After an amazing day at THE LION KING Brisbane season launch announcement, members of our Australian cast felt so elated they decided to sing the 'Circle of Life' prior to take off on their flight back to Sydney!” the now viral YouTube video is captioned by DisneyOnBroadway.
Following the energetic performance, the plane cabin erupted into applause and cheers for the singers, who nailed the song despite the less-than-stellar plane acoustics.
