The Equalizer has finally revealed how Chris Noth‘s character, ex-CIA director William Bishop, has been written out of the show.
Due to the many allegations of sexual assault from numerous women, Noth was fired from the CBS drama back in December. The actor has profusely denied all of the allegations against him.
“We are figuring out what we want to do creatively on the show and how we’re going to deal with that character,” the show’s lead Queen Latifah told People. “Chris’s character’s obviously a big part of the show and it was amazing chemistry, amazing chemistry. And my feeling is justice has to prevail regardless. I just want the right things to be done, you know?”
Spoilers for The Equalizer ahead:
The latest episode of the series “Pulse” explained where Noth’s character has been during his absence. Latifah’s character, CIA operative Robyn McCall, learns that Bishop, her mentor, and a former CIA boss, has been spending weeks on an investigation into a flight that mysteriously crashed. McCall concludes that her enemy Mason Quinn, played by Chris Vance, is involved. He is a scientist who works in electromagnetic pulses and has the ability to bring planes down from the sky. It turns out that Bishop is on a plane that Quinn is targeting. McCall is unable to save Bishop and watches his aircraft go down and kill her mentor in the crash.
