The Cure announced on Tuesday that they will do a 25-date tour in North America in 2016. The post-punk band The Twilight Sad will be joining them.
Along with the number of tour dates, three of the 25 stops have been announced. They will play in Los Angeles on May 22, Chicago on June 10 and New York City on June 18. More information on their itinerary will be posted in January.
The general ticket sale for these cities starts on Oct. 9, but ticket pre-sales will start Oct. 7 and can be found on the band´s website TheCure.com.
The Cure, led by lead singer and guitarist Robert Smith, has often performed in North American in the last five years, taking part in festivals such as Lollapalooza, Riot Fest and Osheaga. However, this is their first full-fledged tour on the continent since 2008.
