On Monday night’s episode of The Bachelor: The Women Tell All special, Ben Higgins comes face to face with the woman he dumped.
The show started with the awkward talk between third-place contestants Caila and Ben. She questioned the Bachelor on why she wasn’t his choice but before he took the stage, she confessed she still loved him.
“I really did love him and I still do, in a way,” she said. “I’ve never felt that way before, understood by someone … and for him to say he never loved me back was really hard.”
She also admitted that getting booted off the show still was affecting her. “It hurt a lot … he never got there with me. I fell in love with him. For someone like myself … who doesn’t fall in love easily, it’s really hard.” Caila confessed.
When Ben took his seat next to the Cailia, he explained his decision.”We just explored life to a level that I never expected,” he said. “So I appreciate you. I appreciate you coming back here tonight and talking and I don’t want you to ever think that I discount our relationship at all.”
He added that his love for the last two contestants outshone his love for Caila, so he had to break it off with her. He also added that his final pick suited him the best: “I’m more in love than I’ve ever been and I would marry that woman tomorrow if I could. She’s incredible.”
After the cordial interaction between Ben and Caila, Jubilee wanted answers. “You dumped me. Do you remember that?” Ben explained that their relationship failed due to communication issues.
When it came to the controversial Olivia, Ben knew there was something off about her and claimed “there was something that wasn’t right” between them. She also apologized to the twins, Hayley and Emily for bullying them.
The contestants also took some jabs at each other, some even saying that Jubilee caused necessary drama when she claimed that she “would be the first all-black” contestant on this show. She completely disregarded Jami and Amber who are biracial. Jubilee explained that she never meant to offend either of the girls.
The show also brought back Lace who suffered a meltdown and had to leave the show. She claimed she would be returning to reality television for the Bachelor in Paradise this summer.
The Bachelor returns next Monday to reveal whether Ben decided between JoJo or Lauren B. at 8 PM on ABC.
