The Bachelor returned last night for its second episode in so many days, with more excursions for the girls and no more of a clue he’s getting played for Sean Lowe.
To the Canadian Rockies they went, where Sean demands the girls take a polar bear plunge wearing only their very best skimpy bikinis into the freezing waters of Lake Louise. After what amounts to only about 10 seconds, the frosty contestants made their exit cold, but ultimately unharmed – except of course for Tierra LiCausi. While the rest of the group was indulging in warm beverages and Sean’s evenly distributed embraces, Tierra was decidedly hypothermic. Invigorated by the icy swim, many of the girls boasted that they’d gladly do it again with Sean all around the world – forgetting for a moment that that would only be an option for one of them.
Since Tierra would presumably be missing the group date due to her questionable health, it was anticipated to be a calm and drama-free evening. But of course, not one to stay away from Sean for too long, Tierra descended the stairs in nothing but her best heels. Lesley Murphy ended up getting the rose on the group date, while Sean decided to send Sarah Herron home then-and-there due to a lack of chemistry. The one-on-one dates led to two more ladies receiving a coveted rose. Catherine Giudici wormed her way into Sean’s heart by making a heavenly snow angel, while Desiree Hartsock got his blood pumping scaling a tree.
Despite trying to find a balance between giving Sean the affection he wanted from her, while not totally shaming her family by just giving the bachelor a quick peck on the lips, Selma Alameri was refused a rose. Hopefully her balancing act won’t blow up in her face back at home as well. After Daniella McBride was also left without a rose, it will be Catherine, Desiree, Lindsay Yenter, AshLee Frazier and last and least, Tierra, back for next week’s episode of The Bachelor on Monday at 8/9c on ABC. — Chelsea Regan
