Terry Crews, the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star, recently revealed that he was addicted to porn and his marriage suffered from his addiction. Crews uploaded three separate videos explaining that he has gone to therapy to help with his addiction.
The actor’s first video was only a little over a minute and he explained that for “years” his “dirty little secret” was his porn addiction.
‘It really, really messed up my life in a lot of ways,” he went on to say. He also believes that watching pornography is a “worldwide problem.”
“If day turns into night and you are still watching [porn], you probably got a problem. And that was me… Now it’s become my battle to help other people who are going through the same thing,” Crews concluded.
In the second video, the ex-NFL linebacker explained what he learned while he was in therapy. He said that “shame and guilt” can control the way you think and feel. He also told women that they need to be “fearless” and let their husbands and boyfriends know that “watching too much porn is not ok.”
“I’m calling on men to be more accountable. There’s a lot of men out there blaming their wives for this,” he added.
