Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, shared a photo of her family reminiscing about the holidays, as her husband Joe Giudice faces deportation after his appeal has been denied.
“Joe with the girls decorating eggs, days like this I love having photos,” Teresa captioned in a post showing Joe surrounded by his little girls.
Joe has lived in the U.S. since he was a child, but he has never obtained American citizenship, and according to U.S. law, immigrants can be deported if they are convicted of a crime or felony.
Teresa and Joe were indicted in 2013 when they were accused of hiding their assets following a bankruptcy filing. Joe went to prison for three and half years for wire and bankruptcy fraud.
“We are extremely disappointed that the Board of Immigration Appeals has denied Mr. Giudice’s appeal,” said James J. Leonard Jr., the Giudice family attorney.
“We have filed a stay with the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and will continue to fight to keep Mr. Giudice in the United States, the only country he knows, and reunite him with his wife and four daughters,” he added.
