Teresa Giudice
After serving 11 months at Danbury Federal Correctional Institution in Connecticut for bankruptcy fraud, Teresa Giudice is set to return to The Real Housewives of Jersey. Bravo confirmed her return on Monday.
On Tuesday morning, the reality star appeared on Good Morning America and talked about her living conditions while in jail.
“I mean there was mold in the bathrooms. There was not running water constantly. The showers were freezing cold … I mean, the living conditions were really horrible. Like, horrible,” she told ABC News’ Amy Robach. “There were some nights that we didn’t even have heat … It was — it was hell.”
During the interview, that was filmed from her New Jersey home, Giudice talked about her plans for the future and her time in prison where she worked for 12 cents an hour in the kitchen. “I had a job in the kitchen. I wiped tables after breakfast. Three days a week, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. That was my job. I loved my job,” she said.
The star only served 11 out of the 15 month sentence. She was released early for good behavior, according to her attorney.
Before receiving her punishment, she confessed she had no idea she was doing anything wrong. “There was no intent to commit a crime. I didn’t know I was committing a crime,” Giudice told Robach. “I got sentenced. I got served time. I did what I had to do and now I’m moving past it.”
