A lucky lottery player won $259.8 million in the June 11 Powerball lottery drawing after picking the winning numbers 14, 18, 25, 33, 49, powerball 23.

The winner bought the winning ticket in Knoxville, Tennessee, just one of the 43 states that participates in the Powerball lottery. Drawings for Powerball occur every Wednesday and Saturday, and this win marks the first big winner since April. The identity of the winner remains unknown, and he or she now has the choice to pick the cash payout option, which would amount to $153.5 million before taxes.

In February, B. Raymond Buxton won a $425 million Powerball, and in August of 2013 three ticketholders split a $448 million Powerball jackpot, the fourth largest lottery jackpot in US history.

For those who are disappointed by their most recent Powerball loss, the next drawing will take place June 14. The odds of winning Powerball are 1 in 175 million, and the June 14 Powerball jackpot is expected to be about $40 million.
