Taylor Swift Drops "Blank Space" Video

“Blank Space” is the next single off Swift’s hit album, 1989, which recently broke records by selling over 1.2 million copies in its first week on the shelves. The video debuted on Monday, and has wracked up well over 9 million views in less than 48 hours.

In the video, directed by veteran music video director Joseph Kahn, Swift parades around a castle in gowns, depicting a tumultuous relationship with her suitor of the week – played by model Sean O’Pry. Also featured in the video area couple of white horses, black dogs and what appears to be Swift’s cat Olivia Benson.

Swift embraces the ‘crazy girlfriend’ stereotype in the video, cutting up her lover’s designer clothes and taking a golf club to his convertible.

“Essentially, it is a song I wrote about the fact that the media has kind of portrayed me as being this crazy, desperate, serial dater… so we decided we had to go absolutely crazy with the video,” Swift said on Good Morning America Tuesday.

Swift is also releasing a free app accompanying the video. The app gives fans a chance to explore the world created in the video and see bonus footage shot specifically for the app.
