Taylor Swift, 22, is famous for opening up about her relationships in her music, but now she's spilling about her breakups in the new album, Red, which features her Billboard Hot 100 number, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" — a song that many have speculated may be about one of her famous exes, a list that includes Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner and John Mayer, among a bevy of other rumored high-profile formers.
Now Swift is connected to Conor Kennedy, but that doesn't mean her past relationships are forgotten. "If a man dates me, he's kind of signing a waiver saying he's cool with me writing songs about him. I write songs about my life: it's not something I've kept secret," she said, reports Irish Central.
And Swift is intensely proud of the album that may or may not, at times, bash her ex-boyfriends. "This album is interesting because each song stands on its own," Swift told MTV News. "It's this patchwork quilt of different sounds and different emotions, and I don't think anything on the record sounds like 'Never Ever,' and I'm really happy about that because each song is its own approach to what that particular emotion sounds like, and it's a really, really different record from anything else I've ever done before."
The Red album also includes singles "Begin Again," "I Knew You Were Trouble," and the eponymous title track, "Red." It is available in stores now, having been released on October 22, 2012.
