Taylor Swift Defends Fan From Security Guard During Philadelphia Concert: ‘She Wasn’t Doing Anything!’

In a viral video filmed at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, Taylor Swift, 33, appears to call out security for how they treated a fan in the middle of her performance of her hit single “Bad Blood.”

“She’s fine,” Swift said while pointing towards the disruption during the song’s chorus. “She wasn’t doing anything. Hey, stop! Stop.”

While the clip doesn’t show what caused the commotion, one fan wrote on Twitter that the incident occurred when security “kept putting their hands on us to physically push us off of the barricade instead of just telling us to move.” The same Twitter user claimed that the security guards were being “extremely aggressive” to fans who were not “throwing anything” or “screaming anything insane.”

On Sunday, Caitlin Gabell posted a video on TikTok, revealing that she was the woman involved in the situation with the security guard. In the video, Gabell shared that a security guard had been “harassing” her group. After Swift intervened, the guard was escorted out, and the concert organizers offered them free tickets for the night.

This incident came just a day after Swift shouted out Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively‘s kids Inez, 6, and James, 7. The two kids were with their mom and “Aunt” Taylor as they walked off the stage together. During the Friday show, Swift noted that instead of writing about her own life, she created characters for her 2020 album, Folklore, using the names James and Inez.

At two concerts in Atlanta, Swift was moved to tears by audience members shining their cellphone lights in unison.

Swift’s Eras Tour started in March and will go until August.
