Grammy winner Taylor Swift has bought her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift, a $1.4 million house in Nashville, Tennessee. The three-bedroom house is a 5,000-square foot estate complete with a blue stone terrace and a gigantic outdoor fireplace. The house was built in the 1920s and has recently been renovated.
“It’s an incredible house,” a source close to the Swift family told Us Weekly. “Taylor’s been visiting her parents there and she’s so excited for them.”
Swift, who was recently named the Academy of Country Music’s Entertainer of the Year, also rewarded herself with a new house in Los Angeles. “She’s in L.A. so much,” said another source close to the music star, “and she was paying a fortune in hotel charges!”
Swift released her third studio album, Speak Now, last October. She has since been linked to singer John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Adam Young, founder of the electronic/synthpop project Owl City. Swift allegedly wrote two songs on her album about these men but she's not officially naming any names.
Swift is currently enjoying a break from her Speak Now World Tour, which began in Singapore in February. She will begin touring North America in May. Swift has also been cast as a voice actress in the animated film The Lorax, based on the Dr. Seuss book. The film, which also co-stars Danny Devito, Zac Efron and Betty White, will be released in March 2012.
