Taylor Swift Breaks Attendance Record At Show In Pittsburgh With Crowd Of 73,117

Taylor Swift officially broke an attendance record at her concert at Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium. According to the venue, 73,117 fans attended the concert, marking it the largest audience in the history of the stadium.

Since 2019, Garth Brooks had held the record for his concert where 72,887 people attended.

Swift thanked her fans through Instagram and Twitter. After the concert, she tweeted a series of photos of her performing. She captioned the photos, “Pittsburgh thank you for making me feel sooooo at home in my home state. I mean… You broke the all time attendance record and we got to be the first tour to play your stadium twice. Thank you so much for everything this weekend. You were a mesmerizing crowd, like beyond 🥰😍 We’re coming for you next weekend Minneapolis! PS Happy Father’s Day to all the dads but especially mine who is one of my best friends, helped meticulously glue every teeny tiny crystal onto my guitar and still never misses a show 💕”

The concert was uniquely special because she brought out Aaron Dessner, who is the frontman of the rock group, The National. Together they sang her song “Seven,” which is from her album Folklore. This is the first time Swift has ever performed “Seven,” making it an even more special night for her fans. The song pays homage to Pennsylvania, where she is from.

The Eras Tour Twitter account tweeted a photo of the two performing the song together, captioning it, “Taylor performing Seven with the Special Guest Aaron Dessner! #TSTheErasTour”

She additionally sang another surprise song, “The Story of Us,” which is from her Speak Now album.

Swift is currently on her Eras Tour, which includes most of her albums, as it is “a journey through all of her musical eras.”
