Taylor Swift & Boyfriend Joe Alwyn Hold Hands After 'Cat' Premiere
Taylor Swift was spotted with her new boyfriend Joe Alwyn at the premiere of Cats in New York City on Monday. After the screening, Swift, 30, and Alwyn, 28, were seen walking-hand-in-hand as they left the Lincoln Center.
Alwyn gave a soft smile, gazing down at Swift as they protected themselves from the rain with an umbrella. The British actor looked spiffy while Swift glowed in an Oscar de la Renta dress and coat.
The night was important for Swift, but it was also a very important for her fur babies. Early in the evening, Swift admitted that her pet cats, Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button played a part in the film. The kittens were inspiration and role models for Rebel Wilson’s character in the film.

“I knew early on they’re not the kind of cats I was gonna be channeling because the kind of cat I’m channeling is very athletic and sort of wild, and my cats are beautifully round,” said Swift. “They’re fuzzy. They look like little lazy bears. They’re always taking naps. They’re not the kind of cat that I’m playing. I think my cats would’ve been a perfect cat for Jennyanydots.”
The Billboard’s Woman of the Decade said that her “teacher at cat school” actually sent 39-year-old Wilson photos and videos of Meredith, Olivia and Benjamin to assist in creativity and brainstorming. “They were inspirations, but not for my cat,” Swift said.
Swift plays a self-assured and flirty Bombalurina in the film. Wilson plays the inactive Jennyanydots who brings some comedic relief to the film.
