Taylor Lautner Challenged To Push-Up Competition

After Twilight star Taylor Lautner filed a lawsuit against McMahon’s RV in Irvine, Calif., last week, the owner of the business came back with a counteroffer: a push-up contest between himself and Lautner. Talk about settling out of court!

Brent McMahon, 47, denied any wrongdoing in response to Lautner’s claims that the dealership failed to deliver his $300k customized RV to the set of his new movie, Abduction, in time for shooting to begin, and that when it did finally arrive, it was not in proper condition. Lautner’s suit seeks $40,000 in damages. McMahon’s attorney emphasizes that the company will readily go to court if the actor declines the offer. If Lautner accepts the push-up challenge and is defeated, on the other hand, McMahon has offered to donate the settlement money to Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

Lautner’s attorney, Robert Barta, issued a statement calling the competition a "facetious suggestion," according to Yahoo!News. "McMahon RV’s response to our client’s legitimate claim further demonstrates the lack of professionalism that Mr. McMahon, his company and his employees have exhibited from the outset, and that compelled the filing of this lawsuit in the first place." Barta responded by suggesting that the charges might be dropped in McMahon makes a $40,000 donation to a charity Lautner chooses. –KIMBERLY STEELE
