Taran Killam will be taking over the role of Donald Trump for Season 41 of Saturday Night Live.
Darrell Hammond will not be playing GOP candidate Donald Trump on the upcoming season of SNL. Instead, the former Celebrity Apprentice host be portrayed by Killam who has been with the show since 2010.
A number of actors and comedians auditioned for the part, but Killam’s performance shone through. Killam has previously impersonated celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Matthew McConaughey, Piers Morgan and Eminem.
Hammond, who acts as the announcer for the show, will, however, be brushing up on his Bill Clinton impression for this season.
Prior to working on SNL, Killam had parts in How I Met Your Mother and The Awesomes.
Season 41 of SNL premieres on Oct. 3 with Miley Cyrus as host and musical guest.
