Sharknado actress Tara Reid doesn’t believe that that a tornado showering sharks down on an unsuspecting public as depicted in the Syfy made-for-TV movie is impossible.

Tara Reid: 'There could be a sharknado'

Reid, 38, admittedly thinks it would be crazy if a sharknado ever occurred, but doesn’t think one should entirely rule it out as a possibility. "You know, it actually can happen," Reid, 38, told GQ magazine. "I mean, the chances of it happening are very rare, but it can happen actually."

“The chances of it are, like, you know, it's like probably 'pigs could fly,'" Reid added. "Like, I don't think pigs could fly, but actually sharks could be stuck in tornados. There could be a sharknado."

Reid will be returning for the Sharknado sequel – Sharknado 2: The Second One – alongside Beverly Hills 90210 alum Ian Ziering. This time around, the logic-defying, shark-infested twisters are descending upon New York City. Anthony C. Ferrante directed the follow up to the campy instant cult-classic that features appearances by Mark McGrath, Vivica A. Fox, Judd Hirsh, Andy Dick, Kelly Osbourne and more.

Sharknado 2: The Second One will premiere on Syfy Thursday, July 30 at 9/8c.

If a sharknado one day does manage to manifest in real life, Ian Ziering has some wise advice: "Get yourself the biggest, badass chainsaw you can find and hope for the best.”
