Tali Lennox, the daughter of singer Annie Lennox, was rescued in the Hudson River following a kayaking incident on Saturday. Tali’s boyfriend Ian Jones remains missing.

Tali Lennox In Kayak Accident

Tali, 22, and Jones, 32, went kayaking in the Hudson River off the coast of Sattsburg, N.Y., Saturday morning around 10 a.m. The vessel capsized, leaving the couple struggling to stay afloat in the water, clinging to the tandem kayak. Eventually, currents separated the couple. Tali was rescued, but Jones has not yet been found.

“They were able to stay together for about 15 or 20 minutes but then they got separated by the current,” Captain John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office told The Telegraph. “They were holding onto the kayak and kicking and swimming all at the same time. They had only been separated for a few minutes before she was rescued.

“[Tali] was in the water and she was located and picked up by a passing vessel,” Watterson added. “She was interviewed and gave us an account of what happened. She stated that they were kayaking a two-person tandem kayak and then it capsized. She gave us the location where she last saw him and that’s where we started to concentrate our search.”

It is believed that a strong river current and alcohol contributed to the incident, according to police.

Tali was uninjured in the accident and was not transported to a hospital. The search for Jones resumed Sunday, though he’s yet to be discovered.

Tali, whose father is Israeli film producer Uri Fruchtmann, works as an artist in New York City. She opened an art show in the city earlier this year, garnering ample critical acclaim. She’s also worked as a successful model, promoting brands such as Topshop, Prada and Miu Miu.

Jonas, like Tali, has worked as a model. He’s also a sometime photographer.
