Taco Bell Unleashes The “Quesalupa” With George Takei And James Harden In Super Bowl 50 Ad

Taco Bell has added another original hybrid item to their list of menu items: the quesalupa. The new food is a cheesy mash-up of the chalupa and a quesadilla.

The commercial debuted its addition to the menus nationwide.

“We want it to be like a time capsule of now,” Brett Craig, Deutsch LA’s creative director, said. “We’re referencing everything in culture that is big in the conversation and we know that changes daily.”

The commercial pays tribute to the changing world of technology by showcasing the dating app, Tinder, drones, hover boards, and presidential campaign and included cameos by James Harden and George Takei.
