Sylvester Stallone’s son, director and producer Sage Stallone, 36, was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Friday afternoon. "Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son Sage Stallone," a representative of the actor said in a statement. "His compassion and thoughts are with Sage's mother, Sasha," the rep added, referring to Sasha Czack, still photographer and co-writer of Rocky (1976). “Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man, his loss will be felt forever.”

Sage’s body was found by his housekeeper, according to his attorney George Braunstein. The police received a call from the house at 2:17 p.m., but there were no signs of foul play or forced entry. "It sounds like a terrible tragedy. He was way too young to die," an LAPD Commander told People. "It could have been a heart attack or a stroke," he said, cautioning that rumors that Sage died from a prescription overdose are still premature. He added that news from the coroner’s toxicology report would likely take several weeks to produce a conclusion.

Sage was best known for appearing in Rocky V (1990) and Daylight (1996) alongside his father, Sylvester. "(Sage) was full of life, a wonderful, loving person," Braunstein told The New York Post. "He was in good spirits, and working on all kinds of projects. He was planning on getting married. I am just devastated. He was an extremely wonderful, loving guy. This is a tragedy.”
