Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney caused a stir on social media over the weekend with a series of self-described “chaotic” mirror selfies showcasing a daring Miu Miu ensemble.

The 26-year-old actress posted several photos on Instagram featuring a brown paisley micro mini-skirt and matching top from the Italian luxury fashion house. Sweeney creatively styled the top as a strapless tube, resulting in a revealing summer look that highlighted her figure.

Completing the outfit, Sweeney carried an ecru Miu Miu canvas tote bag adorned with a coordinating brown bandana. A sky blue matelassé shoulder bag from the same designer was visible in the background. The actress kept her accessories minimal, wearing only a few simple necklaces, and left her signature blonde hair in a tousled, beachy style.

In the caption accompanying the photos, Sweeney wrote, “I don’t do mirror selfies often but when I do they are chaotic.” The post quickly garnered attention, including a comment from Oscar-winning actress Julianne Moore, who wrote, “Hi cutie.”

The revealing nature of Sweeney’s outfit sparked debate among her followers, with some questioning the appropriateness of the photos. However, supporters defended the actress’s right to express herself through fashion and share images of her choosing on her personal social media account.

This is not the first time Sweeney has addressed public fascination with her appearance. In April, she shared photos on Instagram wearing a sweatshirt with the phrase “Sorry for Having Great T—,” seemingly poking fun at the attention often focused on her physical attributes.

Sweeney, known for her roles in HBO’s Euphoria and The White Lotus, has previously spoken about body image and the objectification of women in the entertainment industry. The actress has advocated for separating an individual’s right to self-expression from unwanted sexualization by others.

The actress was in the news earlier this year over rumors that she was having an affair with her costar in Anyone But You, Glen Powell.
