Susan Sarandon was dropped by United Talent Agency after speaking out at a pro-Palestine rally over the weekend.
The actress commented on the Jewish community’s fear amid the war between Israel and Palestine.
“There are a lot of people afraid of being Jewish at this time and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country, so often subjected to violence,” Sarandon said.
“People are questioning, people are standing up, people are educating themselves, people are stepping away from the brainwashing that started when they were kids,” she continued.
The news of UTA’s move broke the same day that actress Melissa Barrera was dropped from the upcoming Scream 7 film due to her social media posts about the conflict.
Sarandon is known for her left-wing political views. In 2018, she got into a Twitter feud with Debra Messing over her opposition to Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.
