Melissa Benoist, star of hit comic book series Supergirl, posted a behind the scenes photo of herself posing with former Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter on Thursday.
Benoist is seen donning her Supergirl costume, as she wraps an arm around Carter in the photo. “Met a wonderful woman today,” the actress captioned the pic on Instagram.
Carter made the role of Wonder Woman popular in the 1970s and will be joining season 2 of Supergirl as president of the United States.
“We had the perfect role for Lynda Carter,” said Supergirl’s executive producer Greg Berlanti back in March.
Further details of Carter’s upcoming role in the new season has not been revealed, but her debut as the president will come in the third episode of the show and continue throughout the season.
Supergirl season 2 premieres Oct. 10 on The CW.
