Katt Williams & Suge Knight Arrested For Robbery

Williams and Knight, who are longtime friends, allegedly stole the female photographer’s camera after chasing her down an alley outside a Beverly Hills studio on Sept. 5. The Beverly Hills police are still investigating the incident.

According to the LA County District Attorney’s Office, Williams was arrested while at a California courthouse on Wednesday. Williams was appearing in court to be arraigned for a separate assault case. Meanwhile, Knight was arrested in Las Vegas. The Los Angeles County D.A.’s Office intends to ask for a $1 million bail for Knight, and $75,000 for Williams.

Suge Knight Could Face 30-years to Life Sentence

Both Knight and Williams are being charged with felony robbery, and, due to priors, Knight could be looking at a sentence of 30 years to life. Knight previously served four years in prison following a parole violation that stemmed from his conviction of assault with a deadly weapon, and has been charged with assault multiple times. Meanwhile, Williams could face up to seven years in prison for the felony robbery.

Katt Williams Denies Charges

Williams spoke to TMZ following his release on Wednesday, and is claiming that the female photographer was is some way harming and videotaping a 5-year-old child in the alley, and that he and Knight were simply trying to protect the child.

“I knew that she was engaged inappropriately with a child, not with any adult. We’re talking about a 5-year-old, let’s be very clear,” Williams told TMZ.

Williams denied he stole the woman’s camera and claimed that he and Knight confronted the woman and asked her to delete the footage of the child. Williams alleged that the woman refused and took off running, leading Williams and Knight to chase her down the alley.

“Her story is that she got into some kind of altercation with me, but she didn’t, so, lie 1. Lie two clearly is, she said Suge too, but she didn’t have the altercation with that person either,” Williams continued.

Williams also told TMZ that the police wasted no time in trying to turn Williams and Knight against one another, saying, “When they get me into the precinct, step one: get me to blame it on Suge. That’s not happening, I’d rather take it than that – don’t be silly… The authorities who should be protecting me in this case are a part of the problem because they are fanning the fire.”
