Noah Schnapp was out and proud on Sunday for his first pride parade.
The Stanger Things star celebrated Pride Month with his friends and family and took part in the joyous event in New York City joining hundreds of thousands for the sunny celebration.
The 18-year-old showed his fans a glimpse of his fun weekend on Instagram.
In the first photo, Schnapp is seen at Washington Square Park wearing a black tank top with the words “Straight Outta The Closet” printed on a rainbow background and dancing among other event-goers as the water fountain sprays everyone around them. The second shows Shnapp planting a kiss on his mom’s cheek with his arm around her, and the third shows Schnapp at a party riding his friend, Katy, as they go around a hotel’s rooftop pool.
“First pride,” the star wrote in his caption.
Words of support and love poured out for Shnapp, and more people came to his defense after haters left their trail in his comment section.
“Yess!! Welcome🤍🤍,” wrote Anne With An E’s Amybeth Mcnulty.
“Happy Pride 💗💗💗,” greeted Katherine Langford from 13 Reasons Why.
“Babies first pride , we love you! 🏳️🌈” one fan said.
“Comments are not passing the vibe check so far 💀 y’all realize his character Will is also gay?” another fan defended.
Schnapp first came as gay in January this year and posted a TikTok video to make the announcement. He also previously confirmed that his Stranger Things character, Will Byers, was gay and had feelings for his best friend, Mike Wheeler.
