Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, 20, and Jake Bongiovi, 22, son of music icon Jon Bon Jovi, tied the knot in a private ceremony. The couple had a small wedding ceremony last weekend, and their close family was in attendance. Brown and Bongiovi plan on having a larger ceremony this year but are already legally married.

Brown and Bongiovi got engaged in April 2023, two years after starting their relationship in 2021. Brown announced the engagement via an Instagram post, which showed Brown wearing an engagement ring in Bongiovi’s embrace. The news sparked a mixed response from fans. Some were ecstatic for the couple, while others expressed concern over Brown’s young age.

Bongiovi’s father defended the couple, saying, “I don’t know if it matters. You know, if you find the right partner and you grow together, I think that would be my advice really. Growing together is wise.”

In March, Brown’s Stranger Things co-star Matthew Modine announced he would officiate the couple’s wedding. Modine told Access Daily, “I have one of those licenses to get people married, and Millie thought it’d be great, and then Jake said it would be a great idea, so I wrote the wedding vows, and they loved what I wrote for them to join hands and to become husband and wife.”

Bongiovi’s parents have been active in the couple’s relationship. The rock star and his wife, Dorothea, appeared at Brown’s latest film Damsel premiere in March.
