Stevie J confronted Mimi Faust and her boyfriend Nikko Smith about their sex tape in the most recent installment of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.
Faust and Smith recently released their sex tape, Mimi & Nikko: Scandal in Atlanta, through Vivid Entertainment and the reality show’s most recent episode documented how the tape came to be.
In the episode, Smith and Faust met with Vivid Entertainment founder Steve Hirsch to discuss the tape. Faust insists that she did not approach Vivid with her sex tape, nor did she intend for the tape to reach the public. During her meeting with Hirsch, Faust seems distraught and close to tears as she wonders how he got a hold of what was supposed to be a private recording. Hirsch says that he cannot tell her how he acquired the tape due to nondisclosure agreements in the sale, and gives her a choice: she can either make a deal with him and commit to promoting the sex tape, or she can walk away and risk someone else releasing the tape and making a profit from it without her knowledge.
“I have a three year old. I have a daughter,” Faust said in the meeting, tearing up.
While Faust appeared more confused by the ordeal, Smith kept his calm and spoke about signing a contract with Vivid as the practical thing to do. The scene ended with Faust picking up a pen and signing on the dotted line.
“The video is coming out, and there is nothing I can do about that. I can one: hope this thing goes away, which it’s not. Two: I can take back my control, try to find my dignity somewhere in this, make some money and take care of my daughter. I mean, actually, there’s only one decision here,” Faust said in her confessional.
Faust’s decision to sign a contract with Vivid Entertainment has certainly worked in her favor. Mimi & Nikko: Scandal in Atlanta brought in record pre-release sales. But, while Faust insists that the tape will help her earn money to care for her young daughter, her ex, Stevie J, is having the opposite reaction. Furious with Faust, Stevie J confronted Faust about the sex tape, saying he is just worried for his daughter.

Faust decided not to tell Stevie J that she signed a deal with Vivid for the tape, worrying about how he could react, but later in the episode, Smith confronts Stevie J outside a gym and brags about the money he’s making off the tape. Stevie J is convinced that Smith leaked the tape, as are most of Faust’s close friends, but Smith denies it.
Stevie J isn’t the only one with suspicions on how the tape was leaked. Fans are growing increasingly skeptical of Faust’s story, many believing that she orchestrated the entire story herself.
Next week, Faust finds out that Smith told Stevie J about their deal with Vivid Entertainment in Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s “The Results Are In,” airing Monday at 8 p.m. on VH1.
