MARY VAUGHN SUING EX STEVE HARVEY FOR $60 MILLION
Vaughn, Harvey’s second wife, is claiming that during their nine year married, she was subjected to “prolonged torture with the infliction of severe mental pain and suffering.” The court documents also claim that Vaughn “attempted suicide by self-medicating [in] an effort to stop the pain.” In addition, they allege that the abuse led to “severe emotional distress” and medical conditions that Vaughn has dealt with over the last 15 years.
The suit, filed by civil rights activist Essie Berry, also alleged child endangerment, kidnapping, harassment, brainwashing, theft by deception, breach of contract, conspiracy against rights, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and “soul murdering.”
The documents were filed In Pro Per, so that Berry, while not a lawyer, will act as Vaughn’s power of attorney. Harvey has not responded to inquiries.
The pair share one child together, Wynton Harvey, born in July 1997. Vaughn previously aired her grievances in a YouTube video after their divorce, and was actually jailed in 2013 for 30 days for contempt of course after violating terms of a gag order.
Harvey shared three more children with his first wife Marcia Harvey, who were together for 14 years. He is currently married to his third wife Marjorie Elaine Harvey, whom he married in 2007.
