Steve Bannon D.C. Home Studio Swatted While Live On Air With ‘War Room’

Steve Bannon‘s Washington D.C. home was reportedly swatted again during the broadcast of his show Bannon’s War Room.

Police and rescue workers responded to a shooting call at Bannon’s house on Thursday morning.

The incident took place after an interview with Rep. Nancy Mace (R-Soth Carolina), who discussed bank records belonging to President Joe Biden and his family. At the end of an interview, noise could be heard in the background as Bannon went to a commercial break.

“At approximately 10:32 am, MPD responded to the 200 block of A Street NE, for the report of a shooting,” the Metropolitan Police Department said. “Preliminarily, this appears to be a false call. MPD searched the area and nothing was found.”

The right-wing podcaster’s home was previously targeted in July 2022 when police responded to “a report of an individual with a mental health crisis” claiming to have shot someone. Authorities found no evidence of gunfire at Bannon’s house.

The house was reportedly targeted again in September.

Bannon served as the chief strategist for the Donald Trump administration. His controversial spread of disinformation has led to suspensions from numerous social media platforms.

He also advanced Trump’s false claims about the 2020 presidential election being rigged. He was pardoned by Trump in 2021 after being charged for committing fraud by taking MAGA supporters’ money that they believed would be spent on a border wall. But he was indicted in New York under state charges for the same scheme. He is waiting for his trial in that case.
