Stephen Hawking on 'Last Week Tonight'
Stephen Hawking will appear at the Glastonbury Festival in England as part of the Kidz Field alongside kid-friendly acts ‘The Milkshake Live’ and Dynamo – Magician Impossible.
The Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary and Performing Arts will take place over four days from June 24-28. And, while the live performance lineup includes Kayne West, The Who, Pharrell Wiliams, FKA Twigs and Azaelia Banks, among others, Hawking might just be the biggest celebrity to be in attendance this year.
Hawking has been announced as making “a special guest appearance,” but his exact role is unknown. Hawking has been connecting with younger fans in areas other than science. He recently gave his two cents on Zayn Malik leaving One Direction, saying that using theoretical physics, heartbroken fans could take comfort knowing that Malik might still remain in the band in another universe.
And on Monday, Hawking met with David Beckham and his wife, Victoria Beckham, at a Google event, where he joked, “I’m always being compared to you as a British icon and sometimes you rate higher and sometimes I do.”
