‘Step Brothers 2’ Is Not Filming In Fall, Fake Article Takes Internet By Storm

Step Brothers 2 will not be filming in Richmond in the fall despite reports to the contrary.

‘STEP BROTHERS 2’ NOT FILMING IN RICHMOND IN THE FALL

On Monday morning, the website localnews33.com posted an article with the headline “Step Brothers 2 to Begin Filming in Richmond, Virginia this Fall.”

Margaret Finucane, who works at the Virginia Film Office, suggested that the article was picked up from the reader’s section and quickly became a trending topic.

The article also suggested that Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are back taking care of a baby. The article indicate that “all of the original cast including Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Richard Jenkins, Mary Steenburgen, and others are set to return” and that Ferrell and recent Oscar-winner Adam McKay are writing the script.

Perhaps the article was sparked by a recent interview with McKay“You know, never say never,” he told IGN. “Is it possible when they’re like 57/58-years old, we do a Step Brothers sequel? Maybe.”

Ferrell or Reilly have not commented on the recent hoax.
