LucasFilms has released the theatrical poster for 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'
Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally has its final theatrical poster – two months ahead of its wide release.
Lucasfilm released the poster for The Force Awakens Sunday. Most prominently featured on the poster is Daisey Ridley as Rey, followed by John Boyega as Finn. Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher, reprising their parts as Han Solo and Princess Leia, also made the poster, as did an unrecognizable Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron.
New characters Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, BB-8 and Maz Kanataand are also featured in the poster, as are classic characters Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C-3PO.
Making the most news from the poster, however, is what looks like the new Superweapon that will be making its debut in The Force Awakens. Though it looks similar to the original Death Star, it’s believed that it could be the Starkiller Base.
Following the poster reveal, Lucasfilm has planned to release the first theatrical trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens during halftime of Monday Night Football Oct. 19.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters Friday, Dec. 18.
