It's almost time for the debut of season two of FX's terrifying series, American Horror Story, and while lots of secrets have been kept under wraps, a few little details have slipped out here and there, and it looks like the season premiere of AHS: Asylum will reveal more than enough to keep you coming back throughout the season.
The new season kicks off with modern-day newlyweds Leo (Adam Levine of Maroon 5 and The Voice) and Teresa (Step Up's Jenna Dewan-Tatum) visiting haunted houses — something that appears to give them a sexual thrill — on their honeymoon. When they come to Briarcliff Manor, which was once a tuberculosis ward and later turned into an asylum for the criminally insane, they have a few things in store for them they weren't necessarily expecting.
Flashbacks to the heyday of torture and mayhem at the asylum dominate the rest of the episode, which will feature many stars from last season — only in new roles — as well as some newcomers. Keep an eye out for Jessica Lange as the terrifying Sister Jude, James Cromwell as a sadistic doctor, Joseph Fiennes as a terrifying priest, and Asylum residents Lizzie Brochere, Evan Peters, Sara Paulson and Chloe Sevigny.
Specific spoilers to watch out for in the season premiere, according to Entertainment Weekly: New villain Bloodyface will make an appearance, Levine's character will get into some major trouble, we'll find out why nuns appear to be tossing body parts from buckets just outside the woods, and, yes, both Nazis and aliens will actually figure into the storyline.
Ready yet? Catch the darker season premiere of Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story: Asylum on FX Wednesday, October 17 at 10 p.m. EST.
