Iron Man 3 does not hit theaters until May 3, but in the meantime, moviegoers are already salivating over the possibilities this movie has to offer. Uinterview has collected some of the latest Iron Man nuggets reporters have been able to dig up.

What we already know is that this movie will be based on the Extremis series of stories written by Warren Ellis. The mini-series provides an Iron Man story arc that revolves around what else, but “Extremis” – a military nanotechnology serum. It’s Iron Man’s equivalent to Captain America’s Super Soldier Serum, according to ScreenRant.

In this third installment of the Iron Man franchise, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr., 47) will face his toughest challenge yet, when he goes up against the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley, 69). Other villainous roles are Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce, 45), creator of the Extremis virus and Eric Savin aka “Coldblood” (James Badge Dale, 34). Reprising their roles as Pepper Potts and Colonel James Rhodes are Gwyneth Paltrow, 40, and Don Cheadle, 48, respectively.

Iron Man’s armor is once again a popular topic of discussion leading up to the Marvel threequel. According to a Brazilian entertainment news site, Simon Phillips, president of Marvel Entertainment International and Consumer Products, revealed that Tony Stark will have “an underground Hall of Armors, featuring suits from previous stories of Iron Man.” The report also revealed that Pepper Potts might get to wear a suit of her own. What’s more? After Stark is injected with the Extremis virus, he will be able to create a new suit from the arms and legs of older designs.

Not only will Stark be outfitted in a brand new suit, he’ll also be able to control an army of like-fitted drones that will help him fight off the Mandarin, according to Latino Review.

The anticipation for Iron Man 3 only keeps building. Check out the trailer below.
