If you were one of 2009's disappointed G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra viewers, take heart. You may have a new and improved sequel to look forward to in the upcoming G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation, starring an all-new cast, apart from Channing Tatum as Captain Duke Hauser and Jonathan Pryce as the President of the United States.

Now you can decide for yourself if the new action flick featuring the beloved characters from your childhood will live up to expectations, thanks to the new trailer that was just released by Machinima.com. The sequel picks up where The Rise of Cobra left off, with Cobra Commander having infiltrated the United States government. This time around there are some fresh faces in the mix, including Friday Night Lights' Adrianne Palicki and The Rock himself, Dwayne Johnson, whose character delights with such inspiring one-liners as, "The world ain't saving itself."

The real surprise comes at the end of the trailer, when The Rock reveals that "there is one man" the special ops team can trust, only to cut to Bruce Willis as Joe Colton bursting onto the scene, firing an automatic weapon from the back of his El Camino. "You okay?" Palicki's Lady Jaye asks him from the driver's seat after his ammo has taken out a few bad guys. "My cholesterol is a little high," he responds wryly, only to receive an eye roll in response.

G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation, directed by Step Up 2's Jon M. Chu, hits theaters on June 29, 2012.

If anybody can redeem such a disastrous movie, it's Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson.
