SPOILERS: Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill Go Back To School In '21 Jump Street'

One of the most anticipated movies of the spring is right around the corner, and everyone is talking about how 21 Jump Street, starring Channing Tatum, 31, and the newly Oscar-nominated Jonah Hill, 28, is going to shape up next to the beloved 1980s Johnny Depp show.

The new generation of undercover cops are sent back to — you guessed it — high school, and they have their work cut out for them. "As they trade in their guns and badges for backpacks, Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) risk their lives to investigate a violent and dangerous drug ring," reports Beyond Hollywood. "But they find that high school is nothing like they left it just a few years earlier and neither expects that they will have to confront the terror and anxiety of being a teenager again and all the issues they had left behind."

In the meantime, the built Tatum and a notably slimmer Hill have found themselves enjoying a real-life bromance, recently partying and catching some waves together in Sydney, Australia. Hill was rumored to have been flailing and in need of rescue in the ocean, but he set the record straight. "I come to Australia and go for a swim," he told news.com.au. "I look back and see Channing is like a mile behind me … he's really far away. Two guys on surfboards then come up to me and say, 'You shouldn't be out this far.' So I swim back to Channing and we get out of the water.

"The next day we hear, 'Oh, you had to be rescued by two guys yesterday.' This is like the worst rumor," Hill complained. "That I'm some loser who had to be air-rescued. I was a mile out further than any of the locals. I was just being awesome."

Let's hope that Hill, who also admits he and his hunky costar were "wasted" while they were out swimming, is just as "awesome" in the film. 21 Jump Street hits theaters on March 16. Hill goes up against Kenneth Branagh, Nick Nolte, Christopher Plummer, and Max von Sydow for his Best Supporting Actor role in Moneyball at The 84th Academy Awards, airing on ABC, Sunday at 7 pm EST.
