Kim Kardashian, 30, and Kris Humphries, 26, who were married August 20 in a lavish ceremony that aired in two-parts on E! earlier this month, are calling it quits after a mere 72 days of marriage, according to Ryan Seacrest’s Twitter feed.
Seacrest, who is an executive producer of Kim's reality TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, confirmed early morning reports that divorce was imminent. “Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins," Seacrest tweeted.
Rumors of a split have been circulating ever since the pair said their vows. Saturday night Kim hosted the Medori Melon Green Halloween Party in New York City, dressed as Poison Ivy, unaccompanied by her husband.
Following a televised courtship and proposal, the two were married in an extravagant ceremony in Montecito, California, with 500 guests in attendance and the best of the best in wedding planning. Vera Wang, Wolfgang Puck and Robin Thicke were all contracted for the wedding, which featured a cake by Hansen Cakes that cost $20,000.
