Spanish actor Gabriel Guevara has been arrested at the Venice Film Festival for sexual assault.
Guevara was in Venice to receive the Filming Italy award.
He had an international arrest warrant against him for a sexual assault that allegedly took place in France. Venice Court of Appeals will later rule if Guevara can be extradited.
In a statement posted on Twitter, the official account for the Venice Film Festival wrote that Guevara’s arrest wasn’t linked to the film festival directly.
