Sophia Bush and her longtime boyfriend Dan Fredinburg have reportedly decided to break up.
Bush and Fredinburg apparently broke up due to their conflicting schedules and the fact that they currently live a plane trip away from one another, as Bush lives in Chicago where she films her TV show Chicago P.D. and Fredinburg is based in Silicon Valley.
"They decided to end their relationship in February," a source told People. "When you see one another for 24 hours every four weeks, it's impossible to maintain a romantic relationship. They weren't able to spend the time together that was necessary to nurture that kind of relationship."
The insider added that the erstwhile pair is “still really good friends," and that "they both care about one another and it was completely amicable."
Bush and Google program manager Fredinburg went public with their relationship in April 2013. In August 2013 things seemed to be getting serious between Bush and Fredinburg, as the former One Tree Hill actress took to Instagram to gush about her beau.
"I wouldn't have been the same without this man by my side," she wrote in the since-deleted post. “Thank you, Dan, for loving my passion and my fight. Thank you for being the spark to my match."
