The set works as a wireless and wired headphone. Users have the option of turning the noise canceling function on or off. The technology behind this feature is Sony’s Automatic Al Noise Cancelling function. According to Sony, the function continuously analyzes the surrounding environment for ambient noise to best select the most effective noise canceling mode.
The track and volume controls line the side of the right earcup. With Bluetooth and the noise canceling function on the battery life lasts 20 hours. The product also doubles as an effective headset for making cell phone calls with two built-in headphones.
Users can purchase a set in five different colors, but the most alluring is the viridian blue. The metallic teal-ish color evokes greens and blues of a mermaid’s tail. The color choices indicate that Sony is also targeting those who view their headphones as fashion accessories.
The headphones are a bit of a bulky package when folded up since they don’t fold flat, but critics agree that the H.ear On Wireless NC’s sound quality and noise canceling technology give it a competitive edge.
