Sofia Vergara gave a candid interview about children, work and her, err, breasts with Cosmopolitan. Vergara, who is engaged to Nick Loeb, took the opportunity to address rumors that the couple was going to use a surrogate to have a child, which stemmed in part from her previous battle with thyroid cancer.

“Well, because I froze my eggs,” Vergara, 40, told Cosmo. “I had to go to my doctor's office a hundred million times to do injections. The [rumor] probably came from that. My doctor had told me, 'We have a small window.' I said, 'That's so rude!' I already have a kid, so I never thought I would need to do that. But I will have to use a surrogate, because I had thyroid cancer and lots of radiation. I don't want to wait forever, but not yet, because I'm working like an animal.”

Vergara also revealed that she and Loeb, who have both been married in the past, plan on having a smaller wedding, and she also defended her fashion style, which some magazines have critized for not being diverse enough in the past.

"I have learned that not everything looks good on me because of my boobs,” Vergara said. “Magazines will say, 'She is wearing the same shape again.' I'm like, yes! So what? My boobs are real. They're a 32F. I can't wear something backless, because what holds them up? Then the magazines would be saying, 'What was she thinking with those sagging tits?'"

The full interview with Vergara can be found in the next issue of Cosmopolitan, which hits newsstands on May 7th.

Vergara fans can also catch her on the rest of ABC’s Modern Family, for which Vergara has been nominated for three Emmy Awards. Modern Family will wrap up its fourth season on May 22nd.
