Fans of Selena Gomez have found the singer’s doppelgänger on social media.
The 22-year-old from Mexico, Sofia Solares, is booming on Twitter and Instagram because of the find. She has over 200,000 followers herself, and has begun posting pictures that reflect her similarities to Gomez. While Solares seems to have been doing this for months, other fans just recently discovered her.
Gomez fans had mixed reactions, to say the least. Some were wowed by Solares’ page, with one saying, “Dudeee this looks like Selena Gomez omg. I love her lol.” Others tagged Gomez’s official accounts to make her aware of her lookalike. Others still accused Solares of photoshopping actual pictures of Gomez and claiming to be her. Some even thought this might just be Gomez’s unofficial Instagram account.
“U are just posting selenas photos,” one user accused of Solares. “She just made Selenas eyebrows fatter and she reposts her photos, look how blur it is,” said another.
