As the Northeast braced itself for Juno, the blizzard expected to set record snowfalls, Twitter became overrun by #Snowmageddon2015 and #blizzard2015.
On Monday, officials warned residents of the Northeast to prepare for a potentially life-threatening blizzard, with local politicians enforcing travel bans and urging residents to remain indoors. Twitter was abuzz Monday night and Tuesday morning with news on Juno, predicted to be a crippling storm. However, while New Englanders in Boston received the brunt of the storm, New York City residents were surprised when the snowfall failed to break records.
Celebrities took to Twitter and Instagram to share their snowed-in plans.
Still more people have taken to Twitter to comment on the storm hype versus the tame reality.
