Snoop Dogg’s Grandson Dies Just 10 Days After Birth

Snoop Dogg‘s infant grandson, Kai Love, passed away this week just ten days after his birth.

Shante Broadus, Snoop’s wife, shared a video of herself singing a version of the R&B song “The Love We Had Stays on My Mind” by The Dells to announce the death of their grandson.

“To My Fifth G Baby,” she wrote. “Kai Love 9-15-19/9-25-19”

Just two days after the death of his son Kai, Corde Broadus shared a message of hope to Instagram.

 

“Thank you for all the condolences,” Broadus wrote on Instagram Friday. “I think we missed the biggest lesson. My son did all he needed to do in his 10 days here on earth. He has now graduated and continuing to do work.”

The 25-year-old continued, “He died in my arms and that feeling of energy will never leave me. Kai wants all of you to know he’s doing great and wants to continue to inspire those whose light is dim.”

Though Snoop did not make a direct post about his grandson’s death, he posted an Instagram video Friday about turning to God in difficult times.

“If you’re facing something you don’t understand: Choose to trust God,” the video says. “Remember all He has done for you

“His ways are higher than ours,” it continues. “He is always good.”

Snoop Dogg’s son Corde or any other relatives have not revealed a cause of death or shared any other details.
