Snoop Dogg has clarified the “smoke” he announced he was giving up in a social media post last week.
“After much consideration and conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke,” he posted to Instagram and X, formerly Twitter.
The musician, a famous pot enthusiast, explained what he meant by the statement on Monday, saying that the smoke he was referencing was regarding a fire pit brand for which he is the official “smokesman.”
“I love a good fire outside, but the smoke was too much,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement. “Solo Stove fixed fire and took out the smoke. They changed the game, and now I’m excited to spread the love and stay warm with my friends and family.”
Though fans were confused at first, they commended Snoop Dogg for his clever message.
“I think Snoop really gave up smoke but he has a great sense of humor,” one user commented. “Either way, I’m about to buy this smokeless bonfire thing to light up my smoke.”
“I knew he wasn’t done smoking but this rollout was genius,” another said.
Snoop Dog’s collaboration with Solo Stove is just beginning, as they are moving toward designing a signature line of “Snoop Dogg x Solo Stove products,” as the media release for the rollout explained.
