Snoop Dogg issued a public apology to Gayle King for what he said in a post from last week.
Snoop Dogg, 48, took to Instagram on February 7, 2020 to attack Gayle King for bringing up Kobe Bryant’s rape case during an interview with NBA star, Lisa Leslie. In the now deleted video, Snoop Dogg stated that King should, “back off b—-, before we come get you.”
Shortly after posting the video, Snoop Dogg received vicious criticism from the public for his video. Even former National Security Advisor, Susan Rice, told the rapper to “Back the —- off,” in a Twitter post.
In a new Instagram video posted on Wednesday, Snoop Dogg expresses remorse for his prior statements.
“Two wrongs don’t make no right. when you’re wrong, you gotta fix it.”
In the clip, he acknowledges that his celebrity influence adds to the importance of his apology.
“Anytime you mess up, it’s ok to fix it, it’s ok to man up to say that you’re wrong. I apologize. hopefully we can sit down and talk, privately.”
